Visualisation of personal and institutional collections reveals that audiences hold attachments with objects based on emotional association due to memories, history, experiences, culture, connections and relationships over the materialism or financial aspects of the objects.  Researching for the projects’ design practice highlighted that sentimentality and attachments to objects in a world overconsumed by technological devices is a valued and explored research topic.

Inquiring to current practioner’s work has exposed my perspectives towards my own projects approaches to data collection, object cataloguing and storytelling in objects for analogue and digital forms. By combing analogue and technological methodologies to develop a user experience to communicate the proposed argument, opens up opportunities for discussion and reflection therefore allowing this project to further introduce valuing of objects, relationship and analogue methodologies into the current technology led design world.
